Derbyshire County Council have an exciting opportunity for a caring and determined Community Care Worker to join the Chesterfield Locality.
This post is fixed term to cover maternity leave, 29.6 hours per week and based at The Quad, Dock Walk, Chesterfield.

The position is within a busy social work team with an experienced and committed group of colleagues, supported by a highly competent Practice Supervisor and experienced Team Manager.

What will you be doing?

- Parenting assessments
- Supporting family time
- Direct work with children
- Supporting plans for children and families.
- Engaging with other agencies and partner organisations
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards once in post (refer to job and person profile for more information).
- Experience of creating rapport and building effective relationships with families.
- Knowledge of Child Protection, child development and parenting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent assessment and IT skills.
