The post holder will work as a member of the Community Midwifery team providing reception and clerical support, relieving midwifery staff of routine clerical duties and assisting with effective administration of the department.
Full week cover will be required (Monday – Friday), working hours will be flexible according to needs of the service, covering the hours between 8am till 4pm, at 4 x 7.5 hours’ days.
The post holder will work both as a member of the team and autonomously using their own initiative as appropriate.
The Community Midwifery Team Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of community-based maternity services. Working closely with midwives, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff, the post holder will provide efficient and effective administrative support to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. Responsibilities include managing appointment bookings, maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, and supporting the daily functioning of the community midwifery team. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and compassionate, with strong communication and IT skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to women, families, and healthcare colleagues.
