Complex Care Support Worker

BSL care has been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health isses for almost 30 years. We are a family run business that has a strong track record in delivering high quality care and support to the people we support. We have an ongoing need to recruit care and support workers that have a passion to support people with complex care needs live normal lives.

For this role specifically we are seeking care assistants to support people that have a learning disability and or complex challenging behaviors.

You will require to have experience of working with adults that display challenging behaviour. You should have achieved your Level 2 in Health and Social care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine desire to help others and a desire to excel in professional development. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for helping others, strong communication skills and experience in social care.

Responsibilities:

• Promote the independence and choice of the people we support
• Always consider the least restrictive practices
• Support people with personal care when needed
• Support people meet their nutritional needs
• Help people to understand their care plans and the care they will receive.
• Work with managers and respond to feedback
• Talk with people we support and their families in a caring positive manner
• Be aware of peoples right to privacy
