Compliance Analyst - Generalist Advisory - Leading Lloyd's of London Insurer

Miryco Consultants is working with a leading Lloyd's of London insurer to add a high-calibre compliance professional to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a regulatory specialist with General Insurance experience looking for a step up in responsibilities across compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Provision of Compliance advice to all areas of the business to provide pragmatic approaches to the mitigation of regulatory risk whilst ensuring the Business Plan can be achieved.
• To act as the focal point for the dissemination of regulatory information, leading on the Horizon scanning process within the Compliance framework and supporting the Business to progress changes where required.
• Designing and providing training to relevant staff and to assist them in the understanding of the regulatory environment or significant regulatory change.
• To ensure that adequate and effective compliance systems and controls, including appropriate exception, breach and incident reporting with a resolution process are in place and understood by all relevant staff.
• To monitor and report on the firm's compliance with all regulatory deadlines, and be the named person on FCA Connect to submit RMAR reporting and SMF applications under SM&CR.
• To assist the Head of Compliance Advice in the implementation and maintenance of effective controls and procedures to identify and appropriately manage conflicts of interest, bribery, and money laundering risk.
• To support the Head of Compliance Advice, and Head of International Compliance to provide the Board or its relevant committees and senior management with regular periodic reports assessing the status of compliance risk, general compliance issues and providing recommendations for any changes to current procedures and systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2+ years' within a General Insurer compliance function.
• Understanding of market practice and the approach of regulators.
• Solid technical knowledge of FCA, PRA and SII requirements, IDD and SM&CR.
• Able to influence effectively in a collaborative way at all levels.
• Strong ethical approach.
