The role of the Group Compliance and Assurance Lead is designed to address and assure against the current operational risk portfolio of MAG. You will provide on-going proactive assurance and work closely with and report to the Group Head of Risk, Compliance & Assurance to develop and deliver second line programmes against all Framework, Regulatory, and Organisational Continuity risks.
You will be required to produce high-level assurance reports for MAG’s senior leadership team which will support the implementation of recommendations made by you to resolve compliance weaknesses that have been identified and mitigate key risks to MAG. You will also be imperative to facilitate effective communication channels between MAG's group teams and colleagues regarding Risk, Compliance, and assurance matters.
Travel will be required across our airport sites approximately once per month.
What will make you successful in the role?This role requires a strong skillset in developing and facilitating compliance and assurance programme development. Previous experience in presenting to leadership will be essential in this role, as there is an expectation to cascade data and information to non-technical audiences. We are specifically looking for direct experience that will aid the delivery of 2nd line assurance for Security Compliance, Operational Resilience, Fire Safety, Health & Safety, Environment and Aerodrome, as these will be the six key areas of focus for this role. You will have strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to develop, present, analyse and report on data and information to determine effective solutions.
