About the team:
The Compliance Assurance Team forms a key part of the Group's Risk Assurance Function, which supports the Bank by delivering risk-based, independent assurance on compliance with applicable regulations and the promotion of good conduct. This assurance is provided through a structured programme of thematic reviews, compliance monitoring, and key control testing across critical business areas. These activities are carried out throughout the year in alignment with a risk-based assurance plan, ensuring that areas of highest risk receive appropriate focus and scrutiny.
What you will be doing:
As a Compliance Assurance Manager, you will have the opportunity to deliver our compliance assurance program, ensuring the organisation maintains adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
In this varied role, you will oversee compliance monitoring, testing, and assurance activities, identifying and mitigating risks across business functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of compliance, providing insights and guidance on compliance risks, controls, and best practices.
You will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Senior Compliance Assurance Manager, as required.
N/B-The role is based in Chatham, and will require occasional travel to third parties, and to other business sites for meetings or training.
