Are you a dedicated Compliance professional passionate about elevating standards in specialist care?
Elysium Healthcare is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to play a vital role in safeguarding the quality and safety of our services across mental health, learning disabilities, and neurological care.
This is more than a standard audit role. It’s an analytical and investigative position where you will make a tangible difference by delving into care records, identifying potential concerns, and utilising a range of information sources to determine the full picture. Your expertise will be key in ensuring our services not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards set by the CQC and other national regulators.
As part of our central Provider Compliance Assessment (PCA) Team, you will report directly to the Director of Policy and Regulation. You will be the crucial link between our central strategy and our services on the ground, working collaboratively with key regional stakeholders, including Regional Directors, Quality Leads, and Registered Managers, to foster a unified approach to regulatory excellence.
This is a home-based role (37.5 hours per week) with a frequent requirement to travel to our hospitals and care homes across the country; some travel will necessitate overnight stays.
If you are ready to apply your investigative skills and clinical knowledge in a role that truly impacts care quality, we want to hear from you.
Closing date for applications: 19th September 2025.

- Manage External Requirements: Proactively monitor and track all requirements and recommendations from external regulators (including CQC, HIW, and CIW) through to resolution.

- Exemplify Professional Communication: Ensure all interactions with internal and external stakeholders are conducted with the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness, fulfilling all contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Escalate Critical Concerns: Immediately report any serious issues identified during site visits to the Director of Policy and Regulation via the appropriate channels (email/phone) in a timely manner.
- Maintain Ethical Standards: Consistently work in accordance with all company policies, particularly regarding data confidentiality, security, and health and safety protocols.
- Maintain Regulatory Expertise: Proactively stay abreast of all evolving regulatory requirements and best practices within the health and social care sector.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need
- Substantial Experience: Proven background in a comparable compliance role, as a Registered Manager, or as a senior clinician within mental health, neurological, and/or learning disabilities services.
- Analytical & Investigative Skills: A keen ability to conduct detailed analysis, triangulate information from multiple sources, and form a justified assessment of a service's compliance, articulating the rationale behind your judgement with clarity.
- Regulatory Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of the health and social care regulatory frameworks applicable in England and Wales.
- Specialist Clinical Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of core standards, including the Mental Health Act Code of Practice, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and Safeguarding procedures.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Experienced in engaging effectively with staff at all organisational levels, both in groups and one-to-one, and skilled in communicating with service users across our specialist care streams.
