About the Role
The chosen candidate will be a proven, self-driven and motivated and relate well to others. They will possess a strong desire to progress, behave with integrity and be able to solve problems. As a CAD Technician, they will be provided with the training, mentoring and support needed to become Chartered. They will be working with an extremely experienced team of professionals and get exposure to interesting and complex projects. Responsibilities
- Produce a range of designs ranging from feasibility sketches to detailed designs, all as per the client’s requirements and specifications.
- Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizing abilities, with keen attention to detail and the capability to prioritize and manage multiple demands effectively.
- Monitor multiple projects at various design stages.
- Show an interest in sustainable projects and low carbon technologies.
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the team in delivering projects to meet the client's key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CAD design and drafting experience.
- Associate degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of design and engineering principles.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Close liaison with key stakeholders, including clients, designers, and construction teams.
- Support the Project Management team in the design of projects and any requirements that may affect the planning process.
- Knowledge or interest in emerging technologies in the energy sector is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with peers and senior colleagues, build and maintain relationships.
- Logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to deliver projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK (excluding Northern Ireland), at times necessary for the role.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid driving license is essential.
- Ensuring drawings comply with industry and health and safety standards.
- Previous construction related experience is required. Civil engineering or other commercial construction experience will be beneficial and would help the applicant succeed in the role. Previous petrol/ roadside retail experience will also be advantageous.
- Experience leading a small team would be an advantage.
Pay range and compensation package
- Flexible working conditions – Hybrid - office - min 3 days a week (Holborn, London), site and home.
