Description

About the Role:

If you’re a hands-on CNC Milling Operator with an eye for precision and the skill to handle complex parts on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines, this is a great opportunity to bring your experience into a modern and respected precision engineering environment.

This is more than just setting and pressing start. You'll be an integral part of a team that works to extremely high standards for sectors like aerospace, motorsport and defence. From modifying programs and interpreting complex drawings, to in-process inspection and finishing, every detail counts.

You'll be working in a company where quality, reliability and trust are at the core of what they do, and your contribution will be valued from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5 axis)
  • Editing and modifying programs to suit materials, tooling, and machine conditions
  • Using Fanuc controls confidently and efficiently
  • Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings
  • Carrying out in-process inspection and basic gauging checks
  • Deburring and hand-finishing components to high standards
  • Logging and completing job cards, submitting components for inspection
  • Assisting with basic machine maintenance (coolant, oils, cleaning)
  • Working collaboratively under time pressure to meet project schedules
  • Supporting continuous improvement and process efficiency
  • Maintaining high attention to detail and quality awareness

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally a time-served apprentice with at least 3 years' CNC milling experience
  • Confident setting and operating multi-axis machines (Fanuc essential)
  • Able to work from engineering drawings with precision
  • Team player with clear communication and a proactive attitude
  • Organised, punctual, and dependable
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Comfortable with general PC tasks and workshop documentation

Why Apply?

You’ll be joining a trusted and growing engineering firm that invests in its people and their progression. It’s the kind of place where good machinists are recognised and supported with high-spec machines, a friendly team and the kind of challenging work that keeps your skills sharp and your day varied.
