Job Title: CNC Machinist – Night Shift (Part-Time)

Location: West Sussex

We are supporting a leading precision engineering company, known for its work in the motorsport and F1 industries, in hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for their night shift team. This role is part-time (Monday to Thursday) and requires offline CAM programming experience and strong skills with Heidenhain controls.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week

10-hour shifts, start between 4:30 PM and 8:00 AM

Hourly Rate: £18–£20 + £5 per hour night shift allowance

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard rate

Holiday: 20 days annual leave

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision parts
Program and optimize using Heidenhain controls
Use Visi Vero CAM software for offline programming
Machine advanced materials, including carbon fibre

Perform quality checks and ensure tight tolerances are met

Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve processes

Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Requirements:

Strong experience with CNC milling and 5-axis machining
Skilled in Heidenhain control systems
Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T
CAM offline programming experience is essential (Visi Vero preferred)
Previous work on motorsport parts is a plus
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
