Job Title: CNC Machinist – Motorsport Precision Engineering

Location: Bognor Regis

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are working with a prestigious precision engineering company, specialising in motorsport components, to hire an experienced CNC Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-performance, high-precision projects involving advanced materials like carbon fiber.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including 5-axis machining
Program and edit machining processes using Heidenhain controls
Machine high-specification parts from carbon fiber and other advanced materials
Read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles to maintain tight tolerances
Conduct quality checks to ensure all components meet specifications
Use Visi Machining CAM software for offline programming
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and solve machining issues
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally in motorsport or high-precision engineering
Skilled in CNC milling and 5-axis machining
Proficient in Heidenhain control programming
Experience working with carbon fiber components is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours/week)

Benefits

Competitive hourly rate: £18–£22 per hour
20 days annual leave
Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate
