Configuration Analyst | On-Site | Financial | £40,000 | 12-month FTC (to perm)

Are you ready to take the lead on IT asset and configuration management within a forward-thinking, service-driven tech environment?

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset & Configuration Analyst to join their growing Technology Services function. This hands-on role is central to managing the lifecycle of IT hardware and software, maintaining configuration data, and supporting a high standard of service delivery.

You’ll take ownership of asset tracking and inventory, build and configure end-user hardware, and ensure our IT environments are running efficiently and in line with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee full asset lifecycle management across multiple office locations.
• Maintain accurate configuration records in ITSM/CMDB tools.
• Build, configure, and deploy end-user computing hardware to staff.
• Conduct regular audits and inventories of IT assets and software.
• Define and implement processes for asset and software tracking.
• Collaborate with teams across different locations to ensure standardised practices.
• Maintain and organise designated IT build and storage areas.
• Generate reports on asset usage, licensing, and compliance.
• Liaise with vendors for hardware, software, and licensing requirements.
• Support IT reporting and help identify areas for operational improvement.

You will need:

• Experience managing IT assets and configuration in a service-driven environment.
• Familiarity with ITSM and CMDB systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate reporting.
• Understanding of ITIL principles (v4 preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects and tasks from start to finish.
