The Role

As a Configuration Manager at Safran Electrical & Power you will manage the Configuration Management team, supporting with the engineering transformation goals at a global leader in aerospace. You will lead a small team with direct responsibility for configuration management across a defined portfolio of products and programmes. You will collaborate with multiple functions across the business, ensuring that implementation of configuration management practices aligns with divisional standards and digital strategies.

• Define, maintain and deliver the Configuration Management Roadmap at site level, and collaborate with other Safran functions at a divisional level
• Lead and mentor the Configuration Management team and its contribution to engineering programmes
• Build and maintain configuration management plans for all key products
• Drive consistent use of PLM systems across the site
• Provide configuration management reporting and insights to support site-level engineering objectives and KPI's
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed robust configuration management governance

Desirable Experience

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in relevant field
• Working knowledge of product configuration management within aerospace
• Understanding of configuration and aerospace standards
• Experience managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally
• Experience of PLM tools; Windchill preferred
• Familiarity with standards such as ISO 10007, EIA-649 & ARP4754.
• Stronge analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Evidence of written English at interview stage.
