Our Connections team has a fantastic opportunity for a Connection Enquiries & Applications Team Leader to join them.

Our role

Working as part of the Domestic Connections team you will be responsible for leading and managing the Connections enquiries and registration team. You will manage customer applications for new electricity connections, to meet regulatory requirements and excellent levels of customer service by ensuring all applications are effectively and efficiently processed.

You will be responsible the first impression customers receive of Electricity North-West. Your team will provide up-front support & advice and enable our quotation teams to contact our customers promptly following an accurate & timely registration. You will focus on quality to manage regulatory compliance, being responsible for effective mailbox management, assurance and quality audits of your team; providing guidance and mentoring to reduce the risk of regulatory failures from registrations. You will use your organisational skills to manage your time as you liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring we always promote the regulatory agenda and maximise our customer’s experience.

Alongside the above, you will play a key role in upskilling of the team, to drive continuous improvement in-line customer expectations by acting on emerging trends. Finally, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business experts to look at innovative ways to streamline the process for customer applications for new electricity connections including digitisation of the process.

What We’re Looking For

  • The ability to interpret regulatory requirements and manage them through clear process;
  • Technical knowledge of LV electricity network;
  • The ability to interpret asset data records;
  • The ability to interpret technical jargon and electrical terms from customer applications;
  • An understanding of how connections are quoted and delivered;
  • Experience of producing KPI reporting;
  • The ability to review the standard of work through the application of quality framework;
  • Have a high attention to detail to drive accuracy and data integrity;
  • The ability to influence stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance and to improve customer service;
  • An understanding of how to manage change projects;
  • Experience of managing a busy front-end team;
  • Experience of working within a highly regulated environment;
  • Have exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written.
