What You’ll Be Doing
Your role involves supporting contract partners in the efficient execution of their work packages, helping to ensure smooth progress across the designated sections of the project. This includes monitoring daily site activities, maintaining accurate site logs, and escalating any concerns through detailed reports to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager. Leading PLOD/PLOW meetings with contractors and capturing key outputs also forms a core part of your responsibilities.
You'll be expected to identify potential risks and recommend temporary mitigation measures where necessary. This might involve reviewing documentation, conducting assurance audits, or coordinating meetings to prevent delays or safety concerns. Regular safety and assurance inspections, aligned with project Health, Safety, and Performance Indicators (HSPI), will be part of your day-to-day duties.
You’ll engage regularly with site teams across Health & Safety, quality, commercial, logistics, surveillance, and project controls, ensuring alignment and timely sharing of information. Supporting the delivery of key messages at pre-start briefings and maintaining clear two-way communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager helps ensure site activities remain on track and well-coordinated.
Who You Are
You’ll have experience in delivering complex projects, with a solid grasp of construction sequencing, resource allocation, and recovery planning. You’ll have a strong understanding of your responsibilities under the CDM Regulations, supported by relevant qualifications such as SMSTS or IOSH, and tertiary education in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience. Experience in high-security or nuclear environments would be advantageous.
You’ll be skilled at producing clear, concise, and meaningful reports, and confident working under pressure to deliver results across multiple workstreams. The role calls for a highly organised, results-focused individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll collaborate effectively with other managers to ensure seamless site operations and demonstrate the initiative and accountability needed to drive quality, safety, and value across your area of work.
We’re looking for someone who builds strong, trust-based relationships with contract partners, creating a collaborative environment by actively encouraging diverse perspectives. Your ability to motivate and energise teams, coupled with your commitment to high standards and safe delivery, will be key to your success in this role.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
