Role Overview

The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a large-scale development from inception through to completion. You will take ownership of the project lifecycle, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a major project in London.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and risk registers.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and health & safety legislation.
• Act as the main point of contact with external partners, including local authorities, universities, and funding partners.
• Drive value engineering and sustainability initiatives across the project.
• Provide regular progress reports to the senior leadership team.
• Foster a collaborative working culture, ensuring stakeholder alignment and effective problem resolution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, ideally with exposure to large-scale residential, PBSA (purpose-built student accommodation), or mixed-use developments.
• Strong track record of delivering projects valued at £50m+.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations, planning processes, and health & safety compliance.
• Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiency.
• Relevant professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, APM, or equivalent) desirable.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
