Role Details:
Altrad’s Major Projects business are currently expanding across our client’s pharmaceutical projects in Irvine on a permanent, staff basis. To support this growth we anticipate the need for a Construction Manger to ensure management and delivery of projects and customer satisfaction on a EPCm contract.
The opportunity relies on inter-team discipline as well as good inter-team cooperation from an already well-established site team and contractors group along side managing works for the client using incumbent contractors who are well established on the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day you will work closely with the contractor’s managers/supervisors and construction team daily on site visits, carrying out audits and informal work place chats with the work parties at the job fronts, viewing job starts and any new first time construction activities to assess the suitability and does it work, also reviewing RAMS as in are they meaning full and is the task instructions being carried out.
You will be involved in the planning and delivery/scheduling of works on site and control of a three week look ahead where they will share this with the contracts and the site including the client, this is broken down into daily tasks, area of works and requirements, this advises the various areas/plants on site of the forth coming works as the plant works 24/7.
The appointed will also review all safety information, RAMS, training records, certification as well as safety performance and adherence to safety compliance, they will as well be reviewing quality documents required by the contracting group on site using the assistance of the CM’s construction/safety team.

Key Requirements:
Good communication skills are essential in the day to day running of the site between the Construction Manager, the project team, the contracting group on site as well as the client reps and senior site management. The applicant should have strong experience in managing a site where various sizes of multi projects are ongoing at any one time through out various plants/areas on site.
You will have a strong background in medium to large scale projects, both in engineering and construction is essential to be able to challenge ways of working and adapt for new technology, review all construction methodology to make sure its safe and workable.
