Professional Profile:

Academic and Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.


Technical Knowledge

  • Proficient in essential tools:
  • MS Project (project scheduling and planning)
  • Excel (data analysis and reporting)
  • AutoCAD (project reading and drafting)
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.


Personal Skills

  • Strong sense of initiative and responsibility.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to foster interpersonal relationships within multidisciplinary teams.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the production, distribution, and proper communication of all required site documentation, including: method Statements, risk assessments, health and safety plan, environmental plan, quality plan, and COSHH assessments.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality inspections (Inspection and Test Plans - ITPs).
  • Ensure that subcontractors receive up-to-date and controlled documents, in coordination with the Document Controller.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the project specifications and ensure compliance on site.
  • Oversee and manage the supply of materials and equipment to meet site requirements.
  • Monitor and control work progress, implementing corrective and preventive measures when necessary.
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments, Method Statements and procedures are properly followed and applied.
  • Provide clear and accurate information to installation teams for the effective execution of their tasks.
  • Exercise the authority to halt works when deemed necessary, and always at the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and Environmental Plan.
  • Review quality reports, inspection findings and safety notices, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and safety awareness.
  • Coordinate and participate in quality meetings and programmes.
  • Manage and follow up on any non-conformities, ensuring that corrective actions are properly implemented.
  • Request inspections from the Principal Contractor when required.
