We are now seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our community mental health services on a full time or part time basis. We are really pleased that you are seeking a career at LPT, you will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically to drive forward innovation delivering the best care for our patients.

Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners, who have or are eligible for, a CCT or an equivalent approved indicator of training and who are eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date.

You will be receiving a £22,500 recruitment and retention premia, which will be paid over the 3 years on top of your salary and a relocation package up to £8000*

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)

We want a Consultant Psychiatrist who can

  • Deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patents and carers

The post holder will be required to work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity

You will provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team along with expert advice to our hospital and community specialists, managers and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care and to develop future strategic directions.

The consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the general practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant.
