Contract Business Analyst – Insurance Systems

Location: Chester | Hybrid (2–3 days in the office)

Contract: 6 Months (Outside IR35)

Rate: Competitive Day Rate

We’re working with a growing insurance brokerage that has offices in Chester & Lincoln that is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support a range of transformation initiatives across their insurance application landscape.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week on-site, and is offered outside IR35.

The Role

As Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes, and help deliver improvements to key insurance applications and systems. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring changes are well-defined, tested, and embedded into the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business and system requirements
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Analyse and map as-is/to-be processes across insurance operations
• Work with technical teams on system enhancements, integrations, and configuration
• Support user acceptance testing and change readiness activities
• Act as the bridge between the business and IT functions to ensure alignment

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in an insurance or broking environment
• Strong understanding of insurance applications, policy admin, or claims systems
• Ability to engage stakeholders across business and tech teams
• Excellent documentation and process mapping skills
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting with some on-site presence in Chester
