About This Opportunity
Connect to Work is a new supported employment programme that forms a key part of the governments Get Britain Working strategy. Councils in Cumbria are receiving funding from the Department of Work and Pensions to develop and launch a Cumbria-wide programme to support people into work. To ensure Connect to Work is a success, we are building a new team to drive programme mobilisation and live-running.
We are a looking for a Contract Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of contracts within the Connect to Work programme. You will ensure compliance, manage risk and optimise contact values while working closely with a number of different stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and negotiate relevant contracts, variations and extensions, ensuring they align with strategic and operational objectives including Enterprising Cumbria, Cumberland Council and Westmorland and Furness Council.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legislation.
- Support Procurement teams with commercial input and contract terms.
- Manage renewals, variations and disputes.
- Track all contract deliverables, milestones, financial obligations and KPIs.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is available on an Initial 3 year fixed-term basis.
