Due to a period of significant growth, specifically in the Weapon System area of our business, we are seeking several proven SC Clearable Mechanical Design Engineers/Contractors.
We are urgently seeking to recruit, initially on a 12 month contract basis to be based predominantly on-site at our Ampthill, Bedfordshire offices.
This role isn’t one that can be done remotely due to the nature of the work.
This senior design role will report directly to the Chief Engineer, taking ownership for large sub-systems.

The role:
You will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering department, including design, prototyping, design proving, engineering documentation, and supporting calculations.
This role demands a high level of innovative thinking and the ability to synthesise ideas into functioning and manufacturable products that are compliant to design specifications and applicable legislation.
Working within a team of engineers and Design Authorities to design and develop high integrity components, complex mechanisms and linkages that will function and be durable in challenging military environments.
