Operator client in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to manage the Category Management & Contracting Process, across Production category contracts, ensuring value maximization through effective contract strategies and stakeholder collaboration.
Role Overview
- Develop competitive contracting and procurement strategies for key spend categories.
- Conduct tenders, evaluate bids, and negotiate with suppliers.
- Ensure effective contract delivery and manage continuous value improvement targets.
- Identify and implement supply chain improvement opportunities.
- Proactively understand and address commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders.
- Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvement through key metrics.
- Collaborate across the wider CP Organization to share best practices.
- Provide support and guidance to team members to achieve results.
Skills & Qualifications
- Contracts Terms & Review: Expertise in reviewing and managing contract terms.
- Master Contracts Preparation: Proficient in preparing master contracts.
- Administration of Prime Contracts: Experience in managing prime contracts effectively.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience in Contracting and Procurement.
- Proven track record of execution excellence and delivering results in a Contracts/Procurement function with an oil & gas operator.
