What You’ll Do At Elekta
As a Control Systems Manager, you will be part of the department management team. You will have line management responsibility for several engineers within the department, working with them on their career development.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leadership and development of people, technology, and processes within the Control systems domain.
- Contribute to development of product and technical roadmaps developed by product management and solution architects
- Contribute to systems engineering, including system decomposition, risk analysis, functional, non-functional requirements definition and features in collaboration with solution architects and domain system engineers
- Responsibility for the quality of engineering deliverables
- Realise product roadmaps to achieve new feature roll-out in support of Linac Solutions commercial objectives
- Develop a highly efficient team that is able to deliver value to the organization
- Develop capability and competences of resources including training, development and succession planning
- Performance management and process compliance
- Cross-functional collaboration to optimize solutions
- Continuous improvement, Circles of excellence, Process excellence
- Drive a LEAN-Agile mindset within the team
- Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta’s Code of Conduct
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the Head of Control Systems – Linac Solutions.

- Demonstrated aptitude for strategic thinking and the ability to implement through others
- Can demonstrate excellent results in a technical management position
- Proven ability to problem solve and strong negotiation skills
- Experience in managing customer/supplier relationships effectively
- Experience in maintaining a strong relationship with field service and sales organisations
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to speak and present publicly
- Flexible style (“do whatever it takes” approach)
- Strong in building and maintaining successful and effective working relationships with both direct reports, management peers and other colleagues within the group
- Personality based on strong ethical standards, values and good judgement
What you bring:

- Degree in an engineering, physics or applicable technical/scientific discipline
- Chartered Engineer (preferred)
- Experience of medical product development in a leadership position
- Experience from a heavily regulated business environment with formal training in medical product safety desirable
- Risk management policy, principals and processes; medical sector specific knowledge is desirable, including ISO 13485, IEC 60601
- Availability for international travel as required
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.
