Job Overview
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and experienced doctors to join our Emergency Department at Wexham Park Hospital as Junior Clinical Fellows (JCF) at ST1/2 level. These roles are ideally suited to doctors with prior foundation-level experience who are looking to further their training and exposure in Emergency Medicine within the NHS.
This post is structured as a 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical position, offering a balanced opportunity to gain hands-on experience while also engaging in professional development, audit, teaching, or quality improvement projects.
Clinically, you will work a full shift rota including daytime, evening, and night shifts. You will provide care across all areas of the Emergency Department including Resuscitation, Majors, Minors, and the Paediatric ED. Wexham Park Hospital serves a diverse and complex patient population, presenting a broad range of clinical pathologies that will enhance your diagnostic and procedural skills.
As a Junior Clinical Fellow, you will be actively involved in the initial assessment and resuscitation of acutely unwell patients, including performing emergency procedures and initiating investigations. During overnight shifts, you will be expected to take a more senior role in supporting the running of the department, working closely with the Nurse-in-Charge and supervising more junior team members.

Main duties of the job
Clinical duties will involve daytime, evening and night shifts providing clinical care in the Resus, Majors, Minors and Paediatric ED. Wexham Park Hospital has a very diverse population, and we see a wide range of clinical pathology.
As a Junior Clinical Fellow, you will be involved in the initial assessment and resuscitation of sick patients including emergency procedures and investigations. Overnight you will be expected to support in leading the department, working closely with the Nurse-in-charge and providing support for more junior doctors.

- 24 months experience working as a doctor in the NHS
- Successful completion of [2yrs] Foundation Training Programme

Qualifications

- MBBS or equivalent Degree
- Full GMC with licence to practice at time of application
