Job Purpose:

As a Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the company’s ongoing financial transformation. This position is central to maintaining compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate accounting policies, and external audit requirements. You will be involved in critical aspects of the month-end close process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and delivering insightful analyses that inform business decisions.

This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and evolving responsibilities as the company grows and evaluates new systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:

Month-End Close & Reporting

Prepare journal entries, including accruals, with proper documentation and in accordance with GAAP.
Complete variance analysis and reporting to support financial insights.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts to proper support, including research/resolution of reconciling items.

Analysis & Insights

Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Deliver ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

Follow accounting policies and procedures and highlight areas for improvement.
Assist with special projects under supervision of manager.
Support FP&A and other departments (e.g., HR) to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
Facilitate audit requests with external auditors as assigned by manager.

Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
Public company experience a plus
progressive accounting experience
Understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
