Location: Jersey (Head Office)

A fantastic opportunity has opened up at a leading global investment firm for a proactive and tech-savvy Corporate Accountant to join the Finance team in our Jersey head office. This role blends core accounting responsibilities with innovation, data insights, and modern technology—ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.

Whether you're early in your accounting career or bring extensive experience, you'll work closely with finance and operational teams globally, contributing to process improvement, automation, and strategic decision-making.


What You’ll Do

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Deliver meaningful data-driven analysis to support business decisions.
  • Improve reporting capabilities using automation tools and data visualisation platforms.

2. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

  • Prepare and file regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions (Jersey, UK, Singapore, etc.).
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and adapt internal processes accordingly.

3. Financial Statements & Audit

  • Assist with or lead the preparation of financial statements for multiple entities, including group consolidations.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure efficient audit processes.

4. Finance Operations

  • Contribute to or oversee accounts payable, receivable, treasury, and cash management functions.
  • Ensure payment processing accuracy, bank reconciliations, and credit control management.

5. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, with insightful variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Leverage Excel modelling and scenario planning to guide departmental heads.

6. Innovation & Tech Enablement

  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities using tools like Power BI, Alteryx, or RPA solutions.
  • Champion the use of modern finance systems and work with IT to enhance system capabilities.

7. Cross-Functional Projects

  • Play a key role in systems upgrades, finance transformation initiatives, and cross-departmental projects.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align finance processes with wider business goals.


What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Background in financial services or asset management (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, banking).
  • Deep knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with other GAAPs (e.g., US, Singapore) is a bonus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
  • Tech-forward mindset, comfortable navigating new tools and driving automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
