Interim Corporate Communications Manager
London (hybrid) – 2 days a week in the office
3 month contract- Inside IR35
I am seeking an experienced, creative, and strategic communications professional to lead corporate communications for a dynamic and ambitious university for a 3 month period.
This interim role is ideal for someone with a strong background in higher education, public relations, or journalism who can hit the ground running and deliver high-quality campaigns.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement communications strategies that elevate institutional goals
- Create compelling digital content (video, podcasts, LinkedIn Live, blogs)
- Write and edit press releases, speeches, thought pieces, newsletters, and reports
- Translate complex research into accessible and engaging narratives
- Monitor and report on media/digital impact and engagement
- Contribute to wider corporate communications projects aligned with institutional strategy
What I am looking for:
- 4+ years in communications, journalism, or PR, ideally in higher education or research focused environments
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Skilled in digital content creation
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Available at short notice
