About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic and collegiate legal team. This role will primarily support our UK and Ireland markets.
The EMEA Legal team is led by an Associate General Counsel (to whom this person will report), another commercial lawyer, an employment lawyer and a paralegal, and forms part of a Global Legal Team of almost 30 people.
You will have a good understanding of commercial law as well as a demonstrated ability to recognise and weigh business and legal risks, think strategically and advance practical solutions. Experience in professional services and/or technology companies and contracts is highly desirable, as is data protection experience and an interest in AI and/or legal operations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Advising colleagues on client-facing legal issues.
- Negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
- Helping to negotiate procurement agreements.
- Horizon scanning to stay ahead of future legal changes.
- Occasionally supporting the resolution of claims and litigation.
- As needed, supporting future international expansion and general day-to-day work in other Slalom countries, primarily within EMEA.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' PQE experience.
- A minimum 2:1 Law degree and training from a reputable law firm.
- Excellent drafting skills for clear and concise contracts.
- Strong collaboration skills to drive consensus across teams.
- Proven ability to deliver solutions meeting legal and business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment.
- Proven ability to excel working with multiple clients and competing priorities.
