Our client, a mid-market private equity firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join on a 6-month contract basis. This is a generalist legal role, supporting the firm’s day-to-day legal operations across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Responsibilities:
- Advise internal stakeholders on a wide range of corporate law matters including structuring, governance, group reorganisations, and entity management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including NDAs, engagement letters, supplier agreements, consulting contracts, and technology/service agreements.
- Assist the investment team with legal diligence, structuring input, and liaising with external counsel on acquisitions, divestitures, and financings.
- Provide guidance on FCA and fund-related compliance, assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal policies and procedures, and liaise with the compliance team where appropriate.
Requirements:
- 3 - 7 PQE corporate lawyer from either private practice or in-house
- Financial services knowledge would be beneficial
- Must be able to start in less than 30 days.
