An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to step into the role of
Corporate Debt Collection Team Leader (HBOP and Sundry Debt) within the Revenues Service. This is a key leadership position responsible for supervising 2 teams and supporting the Corporate Debt Manager in delivering a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused debt collection service.

What’s the role? …
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Debt Collection team.
- Monitor performance, set targets, and ensure compliance with legislation and internal procedures.
- Support the collection of sundry debts, commercial rents, and benefit overpayments.
- Represent the Council in County Court proceedings and liaise with legal and court officials as needed
- Handle complex queries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure a joined-up approach to debt recovery.
- Deputise for the Corporate Debt Manager when required.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience supervising or leading a team in a debt recovery or revenues environment.
- Knowledge of County Court procedures and debt enforcement legislation desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data, monitor performance, and implement service improvements.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and high standards of customer care.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary
£44,430 - £46,437 per annum (P02)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
