Corporate Insurance - Senior Associate/Of Counsel - Leading International Law Firm

My client is seeking an experienced solicitor to join its market-leading Corporate Insurance team as either Senior Associate OR Of Counsel in their London office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a senior role in one of the most highly regarded insurance practices in the world at a leading international law firm, advising on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions for clients across the insurance and financial services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on a wide range of corporate and transactional insurance matters, including M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations, portfolio transfers, and strategic partnerships.
• Support clients with regulatory aspects of insurance transactions, including PRA and FCA requirements, Solvency II issues, and cross-border compliance.
• Lead deal teams and supervise associates on large-scale transactions, ensuring high-quality work product and efficient project management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents.
• Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on market trends, deal structures, and regulatory change.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the global firm network on multi-jurisdictional mandates.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including client pitches, thought leadership, and relationship-building.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 5-12 years of post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm or in-house at an insurance or high-level financial services institution.
• Significant experience advising on corporate insurance transactions.
• Strong understanding of the UK and EU regulatory landscape for insurers and reinsurers.
• Proven ability to lead complex matters and manage client relationships at a senior level.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused mindset.
