Lubbock Fine is a successful 22 Partner accountancy and tax advisory practice. We are also the founder member of the award-winning global network Russell Bedford International. Our Tax Team

The tax team currently has 30 staff from trainee to partner level. The team looks after the tax affairs of the firm’s private and corporate clients, covering all aspects of the UK tax system. The work is varied and challenging, including compliance matters such as tax return preparation, tax advisory projects including corporate reorganisations and disposals.

Job Description - Corporate Tax Manager

• You will review corporate tax returns for technical risks and planning opportunities
• You will assist with the provision of tax planning and advisory services, including tax due diligence projects
• You will assist partners with corporate and OMB projects/consultancy work, resolving complex and varied issues
• You will look to identify advisory opportunities from the firm’s corporate compliance work
• You will provide direction and support to junior staff members on all aspects of compliance and consultancy work
• You will draft technical material such as factsheets and articles
• You will build and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues within the firm
• You will provide guidance to audit and accountancy teams and be considered to be a subject matter expert
• You will prepare and present/assist in the preparation of external/internal presentations and training courses
• You will assist in marketing initiatives, such as the preparation of factsheets, tendering to prospective clients etc, as required
• You will maintain awareness of UK taxation developments and other relevant taxation and accountancy developments
• You will control WIP on allocated jobs or projects

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• CTA qualification is desirable
• Strong technical skills and experience in the areas of corporate and business taxation
• A commercially minded, strong client service ethos
• Experience of dealing with property and international tax issues desirable
• Competency at using MS Office and good knowledge of relevant computer applications
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
• A keenness to add value to our clients’ businesses
• Self-motivation and the ability to apply relevant skills to new scenarios
• Above all you will need to be out-going and excellent with clients and genuinely interested in helping our clients and building your career
