Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Administration Risk Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing credit risks, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition to Preparation of Loan Documentation (in line with credit approvals) and Disbursement.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit, finance or accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work with complex financial data. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our credit administration processes and contributing to the overall risk management strategy of our organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of facility letters and other Loan/Security documentation e.g. legal charges, personal guarantees, assignment of rental income, charge over deposit, etc. 
  • Ensure that documentation is in compliance with credit approvals and in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures 
  • Liaise with solicitors to ensure the conveyance is completed in timely manner and that the underlying Security is acceptable from the Banks perspective. 
  • Liaise with valuers to ensure all aspects of the valuation are met
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all conditions precedent within facility documentation are met prior to disbursement. 
  • Check that any conditions subsequent have been diarised by the securities clerk and escalate if not completed within the agreed timeframes
  • Review valuation reports and liaise with both the surveyors and solicitors on any issues that may arise within such valuation reports or during conveyancing 
  • Complete valuation review checklist 
  • Prepare disbursement memoranda & manage the disbursement process 
  • Identify key risks arising from Documentation, Procedure or Legal Advice in relation to structuring. Quantify these in conjunction with the Risk teams and escalate them as appropriate to Management for resolution.
  • Monitoring compliance with terms and conditions of the credit approval at the point of drawdown
  • Complete all safe to lend checks including the security package, ICR and LTV covenants are met on drawdown
  • safe custody of legal documentation and maintenance of Security Register 
  • Ensure all transaction documents are uploaded to Datastore
  • Inputting limits on Equation for new loans and arranging for credit risk approval 
  • Take ownership of all day-to-day aspects of own cases within the established Operational metrics for the organisation, within defined Service level agreements. 
  • Preparation of redemption statements and discharge of security
  • Adhere to key controls to ensure Bank Procedures regarding Lending are met
  • Keep knowledge current and comprehensive on portfolio, clients and facility changes by following operational procedures
  • Contribute to organizational projects including process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with other departments


Other requirements:

  • Knowledge of Equation (loan system) 
  • Ability to prepare facility letters and associated documents particularly in relation to unregulated CRE loans, as well as capable of reviewing syndicated credit agreements, 
  • Knowledge of Islamic finance – particularly regulated Islamic financing e.g. Diminishing Musharaka Home Purchase Plans & Islamic Buy to Let Home Purchase Plans) 
  • Knowledge of non-regulated Buy to Let Mortgage Loans both to individuals and Corporates 
  • Knowledge of Syndicated transactions
  • Good understanding of Industry practice and proportional risk management approaches
  • Proven competency of working within a Financial Services environment, ideally within an Operations/Credit Administration team 
  • Identifies and shares best practices and lessons learned 
  • Loans administration experience (including in Islamic financing would be helpful) 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • High levels of drive and motivation. 
  • Ability to communicate proactively and present effectively within a fast paced professional business environment (both written and oral) 
  • Ability to operate in a pressurised team; influencing & managing multiple deadlines with key stakeholders. 
  • Analytical Skills – you will need to demonstrate the ability to assess data and convert it into information that helps support decisions.  
  • Industry and Market Knowledge – you will need to demonstrate the ability to understand industry practice, typical data ranges and product solutions
  • Soft skills – you will need to demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence communication & presentation, ability to work with stress and pressure
