Role Summary

You will be part of a fantastic, rapidly growing organisation. This role will suit an individual who is looking to build upon knowledge and skills within the IBA Credit Control function. You will be responsible for ensuring the collection of monies from Brokers within the Company’s agreed credit period, whilst maintaining good relationships with those Brokers. It is also the responsibility of an IBA Credit Controller to manage debt recovery, which, if a Broker has paid late or missed payments, could involve stopping the supply of goods and services or undertaking legal action. It is vital that the IBA Credit Controller builds and maintains close links with all Brokers/Insurers, to ensure the smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments. The IBA Credit Control Technician will also be responsible for reconciling monthly Insurer statements of account and settling within the Insurer’s payment terms. Supplying timely and accurate management information to Directors and Managers

Role Accountabilities

• Sending weekly chasers for premium due and maintain and operate the agreed diary procedure for chasing up outstanding debts.
• Communicating with agents via email and telephone for premium due.
• Resolving Agent queries in a timely manner and filing emails on the EPIC system in order to keep the correct audit trail.
• Keeping track of any premium that has failed to reach Aventum Group on time and communicating with the Account Executives regarding next steps.
• Monitoring and issuing Notice of Cancellations to Brokers for any policies in breach of payment terms.
• Keeping track of remits received from agents and filing them correctly.
• Reconciliation of Insurer Statements/Bordereaux within agreed payment terms.
• Creating reports from EPIC to monitor Aged Debt/Insurer payables.
• Issue weekly/monthly Aged Debt report to department Heads for review.
• Assist the Company’s Accountants in their annual review/audit of the business.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

• Experience in reconciliation process
• Experience in credit management procedures and dealings with a Broker Accounting system.
• IBA Experience required. (1-2 Years)
• At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT.
• Experience in working within Insurance (1-2 Years)
• Experience with Excel (Desirable)
