Company Overview
You will be joining a very well-established and prestigious London Law Firm as their Credit Controller on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit finance team, you will be reporting directly into the Head of Finance. Based in their modern City of London office 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the firm's aged debt report, proactively chasing outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR requirements, assisting with the preparation of weekly credit control reports, working closely with Partners, Fee-Earners and the Finance team to ensure timely cash collections, preparing information for review by the Head of Finance to escalate likely bad debts and agree next steps and ensure all email correspondence is tagged on the system. You will have a flexible approach and demonstrate a willingness to help across other finance roles as and when required (for example supporting the Cashiers with ad-hoc project work).
Role Requirements
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to (ideally) have at least 6 months of experience in a credit control role. You will need to be a willing, positive, proactive and enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to learn. You will possess outstanding communication skills and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment. You will have a professional and discreet approach to handling confidential information. You will have basic Excel skills and ideally have used a finance software such as Xero or SAP.
