What is the opportunity?
The Credit & Middle Office provides a number of credit administration support services to the banking team, including Portfolio Management, Client Onboarding, Transaction Capture, Lifecycle Monitoring, Fund Administration, Reporting and other Administrative tasks.
The Associate position works closely with a number of colleagues within Banking and the Corporate functions to ensure smooth transaction analysis, execution and monitoring.
What will you be doing?
- Monitor the outsourced processes for onboarding/ annual KYC/AML client reviews and for covenant monitoring to ensure the correct and timely input of data into those systems.
- Working with the coverage teams to ensure timely receipt of information from clients;
- Perform ‘four-eye’ checking of data accuracy of colleagues including loan booking systems prior to execution.
- Assist in the client on-boarding and annual client reviews from a n anti-money laundering / know-your-customer perspective, to include client registration and account opening .
- General planning and administrative support to effectively organise the workload of the wider team .
- Undertake the booking of loans / treasury facilities requested by other Branches and overseeing the process to ensure timely execution;
- Performance of and subsequent ongoing management of all required administrative workflow streams within the team, to include: registration of customer mandates, customer Standard Settlement Instruction’s (SSI’s); and inputting of approved loan limits in to Mizuho’s systems;
- Process client requests ensuring the bank’s systems are updated in respect of static and non-static data (e.g. client contact details, address information);
- Undertake and manage periodic reporting;
- Maintain a good knowledge of internal policies and regulations;
- Assist in any ad hoc / project related work that may be assigned;
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 3 ‘A’ Levels or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-years ’ experience in a Financial environment, preferably in banking
- Strong writing and communication skills required to be able to liaise with internal stakeholders / other Departments within the Bank
- Basic understanding of loan and t reasury products, i.e. Forex trades , Derivatives (Interest rate Swaps and Cross Currency Swaps) and Time Deposit
- Strong organisational skills required to be able to multitask day-to-day administrative duties across the team
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Experience in a middle or back office role within a Financial Institution
- A requirement to respond to changing priorities within the role
- Capacity to plan, organise and manage workloads independently
- Utilise changing systems or procedures
