About the Role
As CRO Specialist, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in conversion, engagement, and customer performance across the Austen & Blake digital experience.
You will own the experimentation roadmap, working closely with Trade teams, and merchandising teams to identify opportunities, form hypotheses, run structured tests, and translate insight into measurable commercial impact.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on data, experimentation, and optimisation, and who can balance brand sensitivity with performance-driven outcomes.
How you’ll contribute / what you’ll be doing
Conversion Rate Optimisation
• Own and deliver the CRO strategy and experimentation roadmap for Austen & Blake.
• Identify friction points and opportunities across key journeys including homepage, PLP, PDP, consultation booking, and checkout.
• Develop clear hypotheses grounded in data, customer insight, and behavioural analysis.
Experimentation & Testing
• Design, implement, and analyse A/B and multivariate tests using experimentation tools.
• Ensure tests are statistically sound, well-documented, and aligned to business priorities.
• Share learnings, outcomes, and recommendations with stakeholders across the business.
Data & Insight
• Use analytics, heatmaps, session replays, and customer feedback to inform test ideas.
• Partner with analytics teams to ensure tracking, measurement, and reporting are robust.
• Build a strong understanding of customer behaviour across online and offline touchpoints.
Team & Delivery
• Line-manage one UX/UI Designer, providing clear briefs, prioritisation, and feedback aligned to the CRO roadmap.
• Ensure design output supports experimentation, optimisation, and test velocity.
• Support Product teams by delivering UX/UI designs required for product requirements, ensuring designs are customer-led, testable, and aligned to brand and experience standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product and UX stakeholders to translate requirements into effective, measurable design solutions.
Collaboration with Product & Ecommerce teams
• Work closely with Product & Ecomm teams to translate insight into testable design and content changes.
• Ensure experimentation aligns with brand guidelines and experience principles.
• Support the evolution of best practice patterns through validated learnings.
Commercial Impact
• Focus on driving improvements in conversion rate, lead quality, consultation bookings, and revenue.
• Prioritise experiments based on potential impact, effort, and confidence.
• Track and communicate the commercial value of experimentation.
Governance & Best Practice
• Maintain a clear testing framework, including documentation, learnings, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, accessibility, and brand standards.
• Continuously evolve CRO methodologies and tooling.

• Consistent, measurable improvements in conversion, engagement, and commercial performance across key journeys.
• A structured, visible experimentation programme aligned to business goals and priorities.
• Clear insight into what drives customer behaviour across online and in-store touchpoints.

• This is not a purely brand or content-led role without accountability for measurable outcomes.
Requirements / Who we’re looking for
Knowledge & Experience
• Proven experience in a CRO, optimisation, or experimentation role.
• Strong understanding of digital analytics and experimentation methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and personalisation platforms.
• Experience working closely with UX, Product, and Development teams.
• Ability to balance brand-led experiences with performance optimisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
• Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders with evidence.
• Experience within e-commerce, retail, or luxury brands preferred.
