We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a committed and capable individual to join our Inclusion and Welfare Team as a Casework Officer. This important role provides essential business support across a range of services that contribute to the wellbeing and inclusion of children and young people.
Role
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders, including parents and carers, Head Teachers, internal colleagues, and external service users. The role involves supporting administrative processes in the following areas:
Pupil exclusions
Fair Access (reintegration admissions)
Children missing education
Child performance and employment
Elective home education
School attendance
You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring that work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with service expectations and timescales. The role also involves maintaining oversight of these service areas and supporting compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
As a Casework Officer, you will be part of a small, supportive business support team within the Inclusion, Attendance and Welfare Service, and contribute to the wider work of the Children’s Services Directorate. This includes supporting integrated working practices and helping to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining administrative systems, managing sensitive data with accuracy and care, and undertaking specialised administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who is well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy and rewarding environment.
