Position Summary
In this role you’ll coordinate/ prioritise all activity to ensure that critical parts shortages and future hazards are investigated and mitigated. You’ll ensure all possible actions are pro-actively managed and co-ordinated across the organisations to minimise customer disruption, ensuring the best outcomes are achieved for Rolls-Royce and its customers.
What you will be doing
- Having a holistic view across the business to identify and lead the resolution of supply chain delivery issues and future delivery hazards. Ensure resolution commitments are robust and optimal for Rolls-Royce with effective part allocation decisions.
- Leading or facilitating cross-functional IPTs to enable planned prioritisation of issues across the Global Supply Chain to protect and optimise customer delivery performance and minimise impact. e.g. Launching repair/rework of parts, investigating technical variation options, used material transfers and buy-back of parts.
- Ensuring that credible and accurate information is maintained for customer critical parts in executive systems and visual management tools, supported by timely communications.
- Facilitating root cause analysis and business process changes to prevent the reoccurrence of issues and contribute to Communities of Practice and process improvement activities.
Position qualifications
- Experience of working in a Planning and Control role in a regulated or complex industry demonstrating strong skills of collaborating with others to manage the supply of parts in a delivery focused environment
- Strong data analytical skills, report preparation and presentation capability, coupled with IT literacy ideally in SAP or similar ERP software packages.
- Good stakeholder management skills including Suppliers and internal customers to proactively identify, address and resolve risks which would impact delivery and inventory performance
- Excellent communication, influencing, relationship management skills with focus on drawing value for the company.
- Passion to drive change and make a difference combined with ability to solve complex problems, demonstrating digital awareness and analytical capability
Preferred requirements
Degree qualified in a Business or Technical field
Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment with complex Supply Chains
