We are recruiting for a hands-on Customer Fulfilment Manager to join a fast-growing environmental solutions company. This newly created role will have full responsibility for all customer delivery operations, managing a small team (including a Project Engineer) to ensure every order/project is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate will come from a hire industry background, possess a technical mindset, and be accustomed to working hands-on while managing a small team in a fast-paced operational environment. You will be comfortable engaging directly with customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels to ensure high-quality delivery and commercial performance.
The role is both customer-focused and commercially driven, combining daily operational involvement with process optimisation and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small fulfilment team
- Oversee the full delivery cycle from order handover to customer sign-off
- Coordinate resources, deliveries, and site attendances
- Maintain strong customer relationships and proactive communication
- Ensure delivery meets scope, quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements
- Monitor KPIs, track fulfilled revenue, and report on performance
- Manage variations, recover costs, and mitigate risks early
- Resolve customer issues quickly and implement preventative measures
- Liaise with sales, engineering, technical, and finance teams to align priorities
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and customer experience
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Customer Centric environment
- Ideally experience of managing a small team
- Experience of working within equipment hire would be advantageous
- Happy to be hands on and support the team
- Positive can do attitude
- Being technically minded person would be advantageous
