Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Customer Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of customer marketing initiatives for our trade customer base. This role connects our company and supplier strategies with the needs of our key customers, delivering insights-driven, tailored marketing plans, campaigns, sales tools, tender documents and marketing collateral that drive engagement, loyalty and growth.
You will work closely with our Sales, Commercial, Buying and wider Marketing team to deliver best in-class customer experiences, strengthening relationships and supporting sales success across the UK’s most dynamic trade accounts.
Duties & responsibilities:
Customer Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
- Lead the development and execution of tailored customer marketing plans and calendars that align with customer objectives, Enotria’s company strategy and brand-led activity from our key wine and spirits partners.
- Deliver integrated campaigns that support sales targets, enhance brand visibility and improve customer experience.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs to develop personalised marketing solutions and brand activations.
- Act as a strategic partner to Sales teams, providing insight-led marketing support.
Sales Enablement & Collateral Development
- • Coordinate the creation of high-impact, customer-facing materials, including presentations,
- tasting booklets, trend reports and promotional tools.
- • In collaboration with key stakeholders, create pitch and tender documents for new potential customers. Project manage the content, presentation and timeline, ensuring that all documents are aligned with Enotria’s branding and company strategy.
- • Be the final quality checkpoint for customer-facing marketing materials produced outside of the Marketing team.
Market Insights & Performance Analysis
- Conduct research and analyse data to identify market trends, customer opportunities and competitor activity.
- Track and report on campaign performance, customer engagement and ROI to support continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work in close partnership with Sales, Commercial, Sales Support, Digital and Marketing teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
- Communicate marketing plans, tools and updates clearly across teams to support execution and effectiveness.
CRM & Database Management
- Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system and use it to inform marketing activity and reporting.
Budget Management
- Oversee customer marketing budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and clear reporting to stakeholders.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (Marketing qualification desirable)
- WSET Level 2 Wines (desirable)
- Minimum of 3 years working in a Marketing role
- Drinks/wine trade experience
- First-hand experience of customer or trade marketing, ideally in the on-trade
- Understanding of category management principles
- Able to demonstrate a multi-discipline approach to marketing
- Understanding of commercial challenges and opportunities facing hospitality and wine & spirits retailers
- Juggling multiple deadlines and ongoing projects
