George Baker is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic customs department as a Customs Junior. In this role, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside seasoned customs clerks, supporting the efficient processing of import and export documentation.

Key responsibilities:

• Process job requests and create new files for incoming customs documentation.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of customs paperwork.
• Organise and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Gain a thorough understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding their customs clearance requirements.
• Assist senior customs clerks with processing customs declarations and other related documentation.
  
  

Skills and experience:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Basic IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• A keen interest in international trade and customs compliance (desirable).
