About the Team:
The Digital Edge & Cyber Security function is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the organisation’s digital footprint. This is achieved through Cyber Security operations, Threat & Vulnerability Management, DDoS protection, and delivery of security change projects. The team manages the plan, build, and operate aspects of Digital Cyber Security.
Role Overview:
As a Digital Cyber Security Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional security team, working with cyber professionals across the organisation to strengthen digital and enterprise security platforms.
The team delivers and maintains security solutions for enterprise and digital channels, including DDoS protection, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, certification, and ensuring Layer 6 & Layer 7 defences remain resilient against evolving cyber threats.
You will also contribute to incident analysis and mitigation, with future initiatives focused on Automation and Terraform.
Additionally, you will help design and implement cyber security solutions using modern cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, and Akamai.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain cyber security solutions
Protect systems against DDoS, Bot, and DNS attacks
Perform threat and vulnerability management
Support cyber incident response activities
Implement network and application security controls (Firewalls, WAF, IP, protocols)
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years’ experience in Cyber Security or related roles
Strong background in enterprise cyber security environments
Knowledge of DDoS, Bot, and DNS protection
Solid understanding of cyber defence across networking layers
Ability to take ownership and resolve issues independently
Experience working with internal stakeholders
Desirable Skills:
Automation and scripting (Python or similar)
Cloud security exposure (Azure, GCP, Akamai)
Knowledge of encryption, virtualisation, and containerisation
