The Role
Our team is looking for a highly motivated Security Monitoring Manager to lead and develop an active Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, focused on monitoring, detection and response to cyber threats.
You will lead the day-to-day operations of the SOC and provide line management and leadership to the SOC team, including performance management, mentoring, and professional development, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture aligned with LRQA Cybersecurity’s strategic objectives.
You will develop and maintain key SOC processes, including standard operating procedures, escalation paths, and workflows. This includes the definition and reporting on KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to measure operational effectiveness and support strategic decision-making.
You will oversee threat management, SIEM optimisation, and the detection stack, ensuring tools and workflows are continually tuned for impact. This includes enhancing services, acting as a Subject Matter Expert to our clients, identifying gaps in capability, and providing innovative solutions to remediate them. You will be the main point of contact for the Security Monitoring services and act as the escalation point for any incidents that have been triaged and escalated by security analysts or client security functions.
You will collaborate closely with the security leadership to shape strategic direction, enhance service integration, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and continuous service development.
You will be required to liaise with account managers across the business and assist in both Pre-Sales and existing customer interactions, ensuring any proposed solutions are fit for purpose and fit for delivery.
Above all, you will provide first class service to both Internal and External Customers, delivering excellence in all areas of your work and embodying our LRQA Cybersecurity values.
Our goal is to establish LRQA Cybersecurity as a leading global provider of managed security and support services. This position is key to achieving this aim.
