Data Analyst

Power BI Analyst | Hybrid | Financial | £35,000 - £50,000 | 6-month FTC

In this role, you’ll develop and maintain dashboards, data models, and reports using Microsoft Power BI, leveraging your expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL. Working across multiple data sources—cloud-based and on-premise—you’ll ensure reporting is accurate, scalable, and compliant.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful insights.
• Build and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and semantic models.
• Integrate data from SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, and other sources.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all solutions.
• Provide training and support to empower end-users with self-service reporting.
• Champion best practices in data governance, attestation, and compliance.

What you will need:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service).
• Strong skills in SQL, SSIS, Azure, Fabric, and data modelling.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in pensions or financial services is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
