The Role
As a Data Analyst, you’ll be instrumental in the design, development, and optimisation of our data assets. Your focus will be on building and evolving data marts, semantic models, and dashboards using Power BI and the Microsoft Azure data stack.
Working closely with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure that data is structured, reliable, and ready to support self-service reporting and advanced analytics across departments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and maintain scalable data warehouses, data marts, and semantic models
- Develop and enhance Power BI datasets, dashboards, and paginated reports
- Use SQL and Power Query (M) to prepare and transform data
- Implement best practices in data modelling using DAX and Tabular Editor
- Monitor model performance and proactively manage data reliability and integrity
- Collaborate with business teams to understand data needs and translate them into sustainable data models
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot issues across data pipelines and reporting layers
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our Azure data platform including Azure SQL, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics

What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Power BI development and data modelling
- Hands-on expertise in SQL and Microsoft’s Azure data services
- A strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and semantic modelling
- Demonstrated experience working with internal teams to define data needs and build appropriate models
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical information for a non-technical audience
Nice to Have
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
- DP-203 (Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure)
- DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate)
- Degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent professional experience
- Background in working within medium to large organisations
