Description

Do you have a passion for architecting scalable, secure data ecosystems that support critical ERP transformations?

Are you confident in providing architectural leadership to cross-functional teams and ensuring best practices in data design?

Do you thrive on solving challenging data integration problems across legacy systems, cloud platforms, and ERP solutions?

As ASK4’s Data Architect, you’ll design and implement our data architecture strategy to support the successful transition to a new ERP system. You'll align with our overall enterprise architecture strategy and lead governance of data models, integration patterns, and data quality frameworks, ensuring business processes are effectively supported. This role is key to enabling seamless data flow, improving operational efficiency, supporting analytics, and ensuring compliance during and after the ERP implementation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working within our enterprise architecture framework. Lead the creation and maintenance of a detailed data blueprint including data models, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and transitional states for ERP implementation.
  • You will develop and communicate a robust data architecture strategy to support ERP transition and integration with internal systems and other data repositories such as an enterprise data lake, 3rd party applications, and financial platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document existing data flows, identify quality issues, and define data standards critical to ERP success.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide data discovery and analysis with a focus on business processes impacted by the ERP system.
  • Provide strategic guidance on data management decisions, ensuring alignment across data domains and projects.
  • Establish and enforce standards and principles to support consistent, secure, and interoperable data management practices.
  • Design master data management frameworks to ensure clean, deduplicated, and authoritative datasets for ERP deployment.
  • Develop and oversee data migration plans from legacy platforms, including mapping documentation and validation processes.
  • Ensure alignment of data architecture roadmap with ERP project milestones and broader business objectives.
  • Design integration solutions for ERP connectivity with other key business applications, ensuring reliable and scalable data exchange.
  • Oversee implementation of data quality, validation rules, and success metrics throughout the ERP lifecycle.
  • Support governance initiatives including data cataloguing, metadata management, data lineage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure data security and privacy by design, implementing appropriate controls and access management frameworks
  • Provide support and maintenance for ERP data changes within the EDW, ensuring timely updates to ensure clean data flows

Our ideal candidate will have experience of:

  • Proven experience leading ERP implementations and associated data architecture work.
  • Strong expertise in data modelling, integration patterns, and master data management within ERP contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead deep data analysis and translate technical data issues into business impacts.
  • Effective communicator able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and lifecycle management.
  • Skilled in data migration planning, execution, and validation.
  • Proficient in modelling tools and SQL/database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Experienced in ETL processes, profiling, cleansing, and metadata/cataloguing practices.
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance relevant to data management (e.g., GDPR).
  • Capable of managing change and resolving conflicts in high-complexity data transformation projects.
