YOUR ROLE

The Data Architect will be responsible for defining and implementing data strategies, architectures, and governance frameworks, ensuring data is managed effectively and securely across the organization. This includes designing and implementing data models, ETL processes, and data integration strategies, as well as working with cloud platforms and big data technologies. Strong understanding of the insurance domain, particularly the London Market, is essential, along with experience in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

YOUR PROFILE

• Defining Data Strategy & Architecture:
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive data strategy and architecture that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Creating and managing logical and physical data models, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Designing and implementing robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Utilizing cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake).
• Establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure alignment on data architecture and implementation.
• Applying knowledge of insurance concepts, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial data, to design effective data solutions.
• Proven experience in data modeling (relational and dimensional) and data architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes for data integration and transformation.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Understanding of the London Market and specialty insurance operations and data flows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
