At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are seeking a dedicated individual to manage our Data Center in Paisley, Scotland. This outstanding opportunity allows you to collaborate with our world-class team, ensuring flawless operations and delivering outstanding services.
Responsibilities
- Manage power, cooling, fire suppression, and floor planning services in the Data Center.
- Coordinate local facility services vendor that provides engineering services.
- Coordinate the implementation of data center infrastructure projects strictly adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate and determine maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption.
- Successfully implement standard methodologies for data center operations and safety protocols.
- Monitor and optimize data center performance to compete at the highest level.
- Provide data center facility subject matter expertise to any business unit througout Europe.
- Leverage strategic business partners to develop and provide facility solutions for business units
Requirements
- Proven experience in data center facility services management or a related IT role.
- Strong understanding of power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different business units and collaborators.
- Working knowledge of IT equipment operations is beneficial
- Relevant certifications in data center management or IT fields are advantageous.
